This course lasts 2 days. It is normally done over a weekend.

The climbing environment (terminology, styles of climbing)
Equipment selection, use, care and storage
Movement on rock
Seconding traditionally protected as well as sport (bolted) routes
Leading sport climbs
Essential emergency procedures
Optional (Further trad climbing)
Belaying with double ropes
Attaching to stances (anchor systems)
Detaching from and disassembling stances (anchor systems)
Abseiling to retreat from rock climbs
Simple ascending of a rope
