The Mountain Guide
Activity   Walking, hiking and trekking
Description  Enjoy the incredible views of the Northern Drakensberg. Hike from the Sentinel Car Park up the airy chain-ladder and on to Tugela Falls. Hike past the tops of the main passes in the Northern Drakensberg: Ifici, Icidi, Mbundini, Fangs, Rwanqa, Pins, Mweni, Rockeries, Nguza and Ntonjelana. Descend via Mlambonja Pass. Looking out over Royal Natal National Park

The route takes between 5 and 6 days to complete and can be adapted to suit the group`s needs.

Daily distances are in the vicinity of 15-20 km with a mean altitude 3000m. Regardless of the season you stand a good chance of experiencing the awe of Drakensberg weather - icy cold in winter, incredible thunderstorms during summer.

This is a great warm-up hike for those who`re climbing Kilimanjaro, but also a very, very good hike in its own right - the views can be breathtaking. In addition it makes a great trip for the President`s Award or Duke of Edinburgh Award.
